Scaled Robotics, an AI-powered software company helping the construction industry to be more efficient through increased field verifications, quality control, and progress tracking automation, today announced a new integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud®. The integration enables project stakeholders to connect the Scaled Robotics platform directly to Autodesk Construction Cloud®, a portfolio of software and services that combines advanced technology, a builders network and predictive insights for construction teams.
With this integration, teams can import 3D models and files hosted in Autodesk® Build, Autodesk® Docs, or BIM 360® directly into Scaled Robotics. Customers can then perform an automated comparison of the 3D model to AR images captured on-site.
Many companies in the construction industry still heavily depend on human-driven processes. Scaled Robotics’ technology compares scanned project progress to the intended design and schedule. By leveraging this data, Scaled Robotics provides high-quality performance tracking insights, allowing project stakeholders to identify and subsequently mitigate risk and make better decisions faster with up-to-date information.
“The most efficient design and construction teams use a central repository for construction documents, including 3D models,” said James Cook, director, partner integrations at Autodesk Construction Solutions. “Scaled Robotics creates transparency for project stakeholders, enabling them to identify and mitigate risk quickly and accurately. Integrating 3D models from Autodesk Construction Cloud with data insights from Scaled Robotics, ensures project managers compare their progress to the most up-to-date and relevant information available.”
“The integration between Scaled Robotics and Autodesk Construction Cloud creates a simple way to inject high-quality actionable insight back into existing design, coordination, and asset management workflows,” said Stuart Maggs, CEO at Scaled Robotics. “We’re on one of the first steps in a mission to bridge the gap between the realities of site and the structured digital world of VDC through AI-powered tools to unlock significant cost and time savings.”
